We enrolled our 6-year-old in the Spotlight class at Lights Up Musical Theatre in Vancouver, and overall, it has been a positive experience. The instructor, Mia, was very engaging and made each session fun with interactive activities that encouraged creativity. Our child built a small puppet for a class project, which she brought home proudly. The supportive atmosphere truly helped her come out of her shell, and she made a few friends, which was wonderful to see. However, we did find the pickup process a bit chaotic, with long lines forming outside the studio. It would be great if they could streamline that a bit. Despite that minor annoyance, we feel that the program is worth the investment for the confidence and skills our child is gaining. We definitely recommend it for other parents looking to nurture their child's love for performing arts.

I enrolled my 6-year-old son in the Spotlight class at Lights Up Musical Theatre in Vancouver this term, and overall, it has been a solid experience. The instructor, Mia, was very engaging and made every session fun. My son loved working on a mini production, and he was thrilled to perform a short skit for us at the end of the term. The environment felt inclusive, encouraging kids to express themselves freely. However, I did find pickup a bit chaotic, with long lines that could be improved to make it smoother for parents. The program is on the pricier side, but for the skills and confidence my son is gaining, I think it’s worth it. I would recommend it to other parents, especially those whose children are creative and enjoy performing.
