Freestyle Canada — Skiing & Snowboarding

My son, who is 12 and quite active, recently participated in the Freestyle Canada skiing program in Vancouver. The instructors, particularly a guy named Mike, were engaging and knowledgeable, which helped my son build both skills and confidence on the slopes. He loved learning new tricks, especially when he got to try the terrain park features. Pickup was well-organized, making it easy for me to find him after each session. However, I did notice long lines for the ski lift, which caused some delays and might be frustrating for kids eager to ski. Overall, I would recommend this program for active children looking to improve their skiing skills in a fun environment. The outdoor time is invaluable, and my son even made a new friend there, which was a nice bonus.

The staff, particularly our instructor Jamie, were genuinely engaged and motivating, which helped my son, who is quite active, improve his skills pretty quickly. He loved the outdoor time and the chance to ski with other kids in a small group setting, making it easier for him to make friends. However, I did find the pickup process a bit chaotic at times, especially with long lines forming as parents gathered at the end of the session. A little more organization here would really help. Despite that, my son is excited to continue next week, and I feel this program has given him a great foundation in skiing while encouraging his love for the sport.
