My son, who is 9 and has a creative streak, recently attended the Under the GUI Academy's Robotics program in Vancouver. He was excited to learn coding basics while building his own robot. The instructors, particularly a friendly guy named Jake, were very engaging and took the time to ensure that all kids understood the concepts, which I appreciated. They worked in small groups, which kept the attention levels high and allowed for great interaction. The only hiccup was the long lines during pickup—something to consider if you have a busy schedule. Overall, he came home excited about what he had created and even made a new friend in the process. I would recommend this program for parents looking to inspire their kids in tech, just be prepared for a bit of waiting at the end of the day.
