UBC Camps Headquarters — Nature & Outdoors

My son attended the Nature & Outdoors program at UBC Camps in Vancouver last week, and overall, we had a solid experience. The staff, particularly an instructor named Jenna, was very engaging and full of knowledge about the local ecosystem, which kept the kids interested. My son particularly enjoyed building a small birdhouse and learning about the different types of birds in the area. It was great to see him so active and exploring outside all day. However, the pickup process was a bit chaotic, with long lines forming, which was frustrating after a long day in the sun. Despite this, my son made a new friend and came home excited about what he learned. I would recommend this program with the caveat that parents should be prepared for a potentially hectic end-of-day routine.

One minor issue was the long lines during drop-off and pickup, which made things a bit chaotic. However, once the kids were in, it seemed organized. The program is a bit on the pricey side, but considering the quality of outdoor time and projects, I think it's worth it for parents looking for a good outdoor experience for their kids.
