My 9-year-old attended the Compass Outdoor Education program in Vancouver last week, and overall, it was a solid experience. The instructors, like Sarah, were truly engaged and kept the kids active and interested throughout the day. They explored the local park, identifying plants and insects, and even built small shelters using natural materials. My child came home excited about everything they learned and made a new friend, which was great to see. However, there were some long lines during drop-off and pick-up, which was a bit frustrating. It would be nice if they could streamline that process for parents. The small group size, though, helped ensure that each child got attention, which I appreciated. I would recommend this program, especially for active kids who love being outdoors, but just be prepared for a slightly chaotic start and finish to the day.
