Vancouver Academy of Music — Music

We enrolled our 6-year-old daughter in the weekly music program at the Vancouver Academy of Music, and overall, it's been a positive experience. Her instructor, Emily, is incredibly engaging and truly knows how to spark their creativity. My daughter has loved working on her little compositions and even made her first simple song on the keyboard. The classes are small, which allows for more personalized attention, something we really appreciate. However, we've noticed the pickup process can be a bit chaotic sometimes, especially when classes end. There are often long lines of parents waiting, and it can feel a bit disorganized. That said, the vibrant atmosphere and supportive staff make it worthwhile. We’ll definitely continue as it seems to be nurturing her love for music nicely.

My daughter recently attended the Vancouver Academy of Music for their weekly music program designed for kids aged 5-7. The first class was a bit chaotic due to long lines for pickup, which made me a little anxious. However, once we got her in, she was immediately engaged. Her instructor, Ms. Clara, was fantastic with the kids, showing them how to build simple rhythms using various instruments. My daughter loved creating her own little melody, and I could see her confidence grow with each beat. The group size was ideal, allowing for individual attention without feeling overwhelming. While the waiting to pick her up could be improved, the overall experience was positive, and she made friends along the way. I would recommend the program, especially for active children who thrive in creative environments.
