My daughter attended Solar Music Academy in Vancouver for her weekly piano lessons, and overall, it was a solid experience. The instructor, Sarah, made an effort to engage the kids with fun, creative projects, which really helped my daughter, who is quite shy, to open up. She learned to play a couple of simple songs and even started writing her own. The environment seemed inclusive, and she made a friend in her group. However, I did notice that the waiting area can get quite crowded, especially during after-school hours, which made pickup a bit chaotic at times. We also found it slightly on the pricier side compared to other local options, but the personal attention she receives might justify the cost. I would recommend Solar Music Academy if you're looking for a nurturing and creative setting for your child to explore music.
