Horizon School of Music — Music

We recently enrolled my 9-year-old at the Horizon School of Music in Vancouver for weekly guitar lessons, and overall, we're happy with our experience. The instructor, Sam, did a great job of making my child feel comfortable, even though he can be a bit shy. He really enjoyed building his first simple song, which he proudly played for us at home. The small group size allowed for personalized attention, which is a definite plus. However, we did encounter some long lines during pickup time, which made it a bit chaotic, especially on busy days. The cost of $40 per lesson seems reasonable for the quality of instruction, but if you're on a tight budget, it might add up quickly. The supportive environment has encouraged my son to express himself creatively, and I would recommend this program with the caveat that families should plan ahead for a smoother pickup experience.
