We enrolled our 6-year-old in the Mandarin program at GrowKids in Burnaby, and overall, we're quite satisfied. The small group size really helped our shy child feel comfortable and engaged. The instructor, Mia, was particularly good at making the lessons interactive—my child even built a small model of a Chinese dragon as a creative project, which they were excited to show us at pickup. However, there was quite a long line for pickup, which was a bit frustrating after a busy day. Still, the supportive environment and the focus on creative learning kept our child excited about returning each week. I’d recommend this program for other parents, just be prepared for some wait time during pickups.

My child has made a couple of friends there, and it’s heartwarming to see them excited about Mandarin. I would recommend this program, but just be prepared for a busy start to each class.
