We recently enrolled my 12-year-old son in the Canucks Autism Network hockey program in Vancouver, and overall, it has been a positive experience. The staff, especially our main coach, Jamie, really connected with the kids. It was heartwarming to see how they tailored the drills to accommodate different skill levels, allowing my son to participate without feeling overwhelmed. He particularly loved the passing drills, which helped him build confidence in his abilities. One small annoyance was the long lines during check-in, which made it a bit chaotic at times, especially for kids who might need a smoother transition. Nonetheless, once on the ice, the atmosphere was friendly, and my son made a new friend, which is a big win for him as he is quite shy. The program is reasonably priced for the value it offers, and I appreciate the inclusive environment. I would recommend it, especially for kids who are a bit nervous about joining team sports.

My son, who is 9 and on the autism spectrum, just finished his first month at the Canucks Autism Network hockey program in Vancouver, and overall, it’s been a positive experience. Coach Mark has a great way of connecting with the kids, keeping them engaged while teaching hockey skills. My son has already made a friend, which is a huge win for him as he tends to be shy. The team-building activities also seem to boost his confidence. One downside was the long lines during pickup. It can get a bit chaotic, and as a worried parent, I found it stressful at times, especially when he was still getting used to the routine. But the staff communicated well, and I appreciate that they made a point to include every child, regardless of their abilities. The program does have a fee of around $150, but considering the individual attention and support provided, I think it's worth it. Overall, we will continue attending as it’s been a good fit for him.
