Code Ninjas Vancouver South — Coding

We enrolled our 9-year-old son in the Code Ninjas program in Vancouver South, and overall, it has been a solid experience. The instructor, Jake, was particularly engaging, making the coding concepts accessible and enjoyable. My son created a simple game during the session, which he was proud to show off at home. The small group size allowed for personalized attention, which was great for his focused learning style. However, I did notice that they spend a lot of time in front of screens, more than I initially expected. While I understand that coding often involves screen time, a bit more balance with other activities would be ideal. Pickup was straightforward, and the communication from the staff was clear, which I appreciated. I would recommend the program with the caveat about the screen time, especially if your child is sensitive to it.

However, the small group size allowed for plenty of individual attention, and he even made a friend in class. I appreciate that the program nurtures creativity while teaching essential coding skills, and I think it's a great fit for kids who enjoy interactive projects. I would recommend this program with the caveat to plan for some extra time during drop-off and pickup.
