The ArtWay Studio — Visual Arts

We recently enrolled my 9-year-old in The ArtWay Studio's visual arts class in Vancouver, and overall, it was a solid experience. The instructor, Claire, was genuinely engaged with the kids, which made my son feel comfortable exploring his creativity. He particularly enjoyed the painting project where he created a mixed media piece that combined his love for dinosaurs and abstract art. The small group size really allowed for personalized attention, which was great. However, I did find the drop-off process a bit chaotic; it could really use better organization to help parents breeze in and out. Despite this minor annoyance, I would recommend this program for its friendly atmosphere and the chance for kids to express themselves artistically.

The instructor, Denna Erickson, was incredibly supportive and engaged with each child, helping them explore their creativity while also ensuring they had fun. The small group size allowed for personalized attention, which I appreciated. However, I did notice that pickup times could get a bit hectic, as there were sometimes long lines, making it challenging to find him quickly. Overall, I think the experience was positive, and my son is already excited to return next week. I would recommend this program, especially for budding little artists who like to express themselves.
