We recently enrolled our 6-year-old in the weekly visual arts classes at 3SQUARES Art Studio in North Vancouver. Overall, it was a solid experience. On the first day, we noticed the staff, particularly Lisa, were very engaged and welcoming. Our child was excited to create a colorful collage using various materials, which fostered her creativity. The small group size allowed for personalized attention, and she made a friend during the class, which was a nice bonus. However, I did find the space a bit crowded at times, especially during the pickup hours; it felt a bit chaotic with parents milling around. While the program is priced on the higher end, around $150 for a term, I think it’s worth it for the skills they’re developing. If you have a creative child, I would recommend this program, but be prepared for some hustle and bustle during drop-off and pickup.

We enrolled our son, Max, in the 3SQUARES Art Studio in North Vancouver, and he really enjoyed the visual arts classes. The studio is vibrant and filled with inspiring materials. Max was thrilled to create a mixed-media collage in his first class, where he experimented with paints and textures. The instructor, Lily, was very engaging and helped the kids express their ideas while providing guidance. One minor annoyance was the long lines during pickup, which made it a bit chaotic at times. However, once inside, the small group size meant that Max received personal attention, which he loved. Overall, the experience was positive, and I appreciate how the studio emphasizes creativity while keeping things educational. I’d recommend it, especially for kids who enjoy art.
