My son, who is 9 and a bit shy, attended the Sparx Studio Theatre program in Toronto this past spring. Each week, he explored various acting techniques and participated in creative projects that really helped him open up. The instructors, particularly Mia, were incredibly engaged and worked hard to create an inclusive environment. I saw noticeable improvements in his confidence throughout the sessions. However, I did find the pickup process a little chaotic at times, with a lot of parents crowded around the exit which made it tough to find my child. Overall, Sparx Studio was a positive experience for him, and he even made a good friend in the process. I would definitely recommend it, especially for kids who enjoy drama or need a little boost in social skills.

My son just finished a term at Sparx Studio's Theatre program in Toronto, and overall, it was a good experience. The instructors, particularly a woman named Mia, really engaged the kids and fostered a supportive environment. Each week, they worked on various acting techniques and even created their own short skit, which they showcased at the end of the term. It was heartwarming to see him gain confidence on stage, especially since he tends to be shy. The small group size allowed for a lot of personalized attention, which I appreciated. However, I did find the pickup process a bit chaotic at times, with parents mingling and not quite knowing where to go. Despite that, I would recommend this program for parents looking to help their children develop social-emotional skills through theatre.
