I enrolled my 12-year-old at Soulpepper Theatre Co in Toronto, and overall, it was a rewarding experience. My child really appreciated the small group size, which allowed for more personalized attention from the instructor, Sara. She encouraged everyone to express themselves, which was great for my shy kid who usually holds back. They built characters for a short play and explored improvisation, which brought out their creative side. The only downside was the long lines during pickup; it felt chaotic and could use better organization. Despite that, the progress my child made and the friendships they formed made it worthwhile. I would recommend this program for parents looking for a supportive artistic environment for their kids.

My 12-year-old daughter recently participated in the weekly theatre program at Soulpepper Theatre Co in Toronto. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly engaged and welcoming, making it easy for her to feel comfortable. She ended up creating a short play with a small group of peers, and it was wonderful to see her creativity flourish. She even made a new friend who shares her passion for acting. However, I noticed that the pickup line could get quite long, which was a bit annoying after a long session. Despite that, the experience was solid, and I appreciate the focus on fostering young talent. If your child is creative and interested in theatre, I’d recommend this program with just a heads-up about the potential wait at the end.
