North York Ski Centre — Skiing & Snowboarding

We recently enrolled my 9-year-old in the skiing program at North York Ski Centre in Toronto. The lessons are held on Saturdays, which fits well with our weekend schedule. My son had a great time learning to navigate the beginner hill, and his instructor, Mark, was particularly engaging and attentive, which made a noticeable difference in his confidence level. The communication from the staff was clear and helpful, which made the drop-off process smoother than I anticipated. However, we did encounter some long lines for the chairlift, especially towards the afternoon, which tested both my son's patience and mine. I would recommend arriving early to beat some of the crowds. Overall, the experience was positive and my son left excited for his next lesson. The outdoor time combined with learning a new skill was a win for us!

We just finished a winter session at the North York Ski Centre in Toronto with my 9-year-old son. The staff were engaged and attentive, especially our instructor, Sam, who was great at building confidence in the kids. My son improved his skiing skills and even made a friend during the small group sessions. The outdoor time was a big plus for us, as he loves being active. However, the lift lines were quite long on weekends, which made some of the wait times frustrating, especially for younger kids. Overall, it was a solid experience, and I would recommend it, but I'd suggest going during the week if possible to avoid the crowds.
