My son just finished a six-week session of Mad Science of Toronto in downtown Toronto, and overall, it was a fun experience. His instructor, Lisa, was incredibly engaging and kept the kids excited about the science topics. They built a simple circuit one week, which thrilled him and sparked his interest in how things work. I appreciated the small group size, which allowed for more hands-on attention. However, I did find the drop-off process a bit chaotic at times, especially during the first week when we faced long lines. My son is quite active, and he thrived in this environment, making new friends and being encouraged to explore. The program costs around $250, which I think is reasonable for the quality of instruction provided. I would recommend this program, especially for parents looking to nurture their child's curiosity about science.

We enrolled my 6-year-old in the Mad Science of Toronto program this past summer, and overall, it was a solid experience. The staff, especially our instructor Jessica, were genuinely enthusiastic and engaged with the kids, making learning about electricity and magnetism a lot of fun. My child was particularly excited about building their own mini rocket, which they launched at the end of the session. It was quite impressive to see them so focused and involved in the project. However, I did notice that the pickup lines could get a bit long, especially on the first day. It was a bit chaotic, with lots of parents trying to gather their kids all at once. I think better organization during dismissal would really help alleviate that stress. In general, I would recommend this program for active kids who love to explore and create. It encouraged my child to think outside the box and learn in a hands-on way, which is what I wanted for them.
