My 12-year-old son attended the Geekedu coding class for science in Toronto, and overall, it was a solid experience. The instructor, Sarah, was incredibly engaging and personalized the lessons around my son's interests in science and coding. He learned the basics of Python and even managed to build a simple program that simulated a weather forecast, which he was really proud of. The small group size allowed for great interaction, and my son made a friend in the process, which was a bonus. However, there were some long lines at pickup, which made things a bit hectic at the end of each session. It could have been more organized. Despite this minor annoyance, I believe that the positive aspects outweigh it. If your child is focused and enjoys creative projects, I would recommend giving it a try, especially since they offer a free trial class.
