Crestwood Valley Day Camp — Science

My son attended the Crestwood Valley Day Camp's Science program this summer in Toronto, and he had a great time. He brought home a solar system model that he built during one of the creative project sessions. The instructors, especially Jessica, were very engaging and truly seemed to spark the children's interest in science. My son was in a small group, which allowed for more personalized attention, something I really appreciated. However, I did encounter a minor annoyance during pickup; it got a bit chaotic with long lines forming, which made it a little stressful to retrieve him at times. Despite this, he loved the experience and made a couple of friends. Overall, I would recommend the camp, but perhaps they could work on streamlining the end-of-day pickup process.

He got to build a simple volcano that actually erupted with baking soda and vinegar, which he loved sharing with us at home. The instructors, like Ms. Lily, were very engaging, and it was clear that they had a passion for teaching kids about science. The outdoor time was a highlight, allowing the kids to explore nature while learning, which kept my son active and excited. However, we did experience some long lines during pickup, which made it a bit chaotic at times. While I understand that a full-day program can have its challenges, I wish the camp could streamline this process. Despite that, I would recommend it for the focused, creative environment and the opportunities my child had to make friends and learn.
