My son recently attended Bot Camp in Toronto, and overall, it was a solid experience. He’s 9 and loves building things, so he really enjoyed working with his instructor, Jamie, who was both enthusiastic and knowledgeable. They built little robots and programmed them for various challenges. My son came home enthusiastic and eager to show us how his robot could navigate obstacles. The pickup process was organized and smooth, which was a relief. However, I did notice there were some long lines at drop-off, which could be frustrating if you’re in a hurry. While the camp had a good balance of hands-on activities and learning, I was surprised by how much screen time was incorporated, which I didn’t expect for a robotics camp. Overall, I’d recommend Bot Camp, especially for kids who are creative and love engineering, but I would suggest checking in on how the screen-time balance is managed.
