My 12-year-old son attended the weekly photography course at the Toronto School of Art this semester. He was really excited to learn about composition and lighting techniques. The instructor, Sarah, was very engaging and clearly passionate about photography, which kept the kids interested. They had a project where they created a photo journal, and my son ended up producing some fantastic work that he’s proud to show off. One downside was the additional costs for printing photos, which I didn’t expect on top of the tuition. It didn’t break the bank, but it was an annoyance. Overall, the environment was supportive, and the small class size allowed for personalized attention. I’d recommend this program for kids who are creative and eager to learn, just be prepared for a few extra expenses.

My 12-year-old daughter recently took the photography class at the Toronto School of Art, and overall, it was a positive experience. The instructor, Jenna, was very engaged and took the time to help each student, which really made a difference. My daughter loved the project where they had to capture different themes around the city; she ended up creating a fantastic black-and-white photo series that she is proud of. The small class size allowed for a lot of individual attention. One minor annoyance was the long lines during drop-off, which made the start of class a bit hectic. But once they got into the groove, everything ran smoothly. I appreciate the creative environment they foster, and I would recommend it to other parents looking for a structured yet fun approach to photography.
