Canadian Contemporary School of Art (CCSA) — Photography

My daughter recently took a photography class at the Canadian Contemporary School of Art in East York, Toronto. She’s 9 and absolutely loved exploring different techniques, especially when they went out to capture nature photos. The instructor, Alex, was very engaging and provided helpful feedback that boosted her confidence. One of the highlights for her was creating a collage with her best shots. However, I found the drop-off process a bit chaotic at times, with parents crowding the entrance and not much guidance on where to go. Despite this, the small class size allowed for more individualized attention, which was a definite plus. Overall, I would recommend this program for its creative projects and supportive staff, but be prepared for some initial confusion during drop-off.

The instructor, Sarah, was incredibly engaging and really inspired the kids to unleash their creativity. My 12-year-old loved experimenting with different techniques and even captured some great shots of local parks during their outings. The small group size allowed for more one-on-one attention, which is always a plus. One minor annoyance was the long lines during pickup, which made it a bit chaotic at times. However, the support from staff helped manage the flow. I appreciate that they encourage kids to think outside the box while developing their skills. It’s definitely a worthwhile program, particularly for children who are creative and enjoy hands-on activities. I'll be signing my child up for another session for sure.
