Mar Music School — Music

My daughter has been attending Mar Music School in Toronto for the past two months, and she’s really enjoying her guitar lessons with a wonderful instructor named Jess. The one-on-one attention has made a noticeable difference, as Jess tailors the lessons to her pace, which helps keep her engaged. We usually have to deal with a bit of chaos during drop-off, as the lobby can get crowded, but once inside, the environment is welcoming and includes small groups that foster a better learning experience. I noticed my daughter, who is a bit shy, has made a friend in class, which is a lovely bonus. They even have opportunities to perform, which is something I find exciting for her growth. Overall, I would recommend this program, but potential parents should be ready for a slightly hectic drop-off situation. It has been a positive experience for us so far.

My son has been attending Mar Music School in Toronto for guitar lessons for the past few weeks, and overall, I’m pleased with the experience. His instructor, Jenna, has been fantastic, tailoring the lessons to his interests and ensuring he stays engaged. I appreciate the small group size, which allows for personalized attention. He especially loved building a simple melody during one of the lessons. However, I did notice that the pickup process can be a bit chaotic; there were long lines on the first day, making it a bit stressful for parents trying to collect their kids. It would be helpful if they could streamline that process. Despite this minor annoyance, I think the program is solid and would recommend it for children who are creative and enjoy music.
