Making Music Together — Music

We recently attended the Making Music Together program in Toronto with our 4-year-old, and it was a delightful experience overall. The instructor, Sarah, was very engaging and kept the kids entertained with a variety of songs and movement activities. My child particularly loved creating rhythmic patterns with percussion instruments, which sparked a lot of creativity. The small group size allowed for personalized attention, which was great. However, we did encounter long lines during check-in, which made the start of the class a bit chaotic. Despite this minor annoyance, I think the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. If you’re looking for a fun music experience that allows children to express themselves, I would recommend trying it out, especially if your child enjoys being active and moving around.

My son was initially shy, but he gradually warmed up and loved playing with the instruments and joining in the singing. One small annoyance was the parking situation near the venue—there were limited spaces, and we had to walk a bit, which wasn’t ideal on a chilly day. However, the cozy atmosphere made up for it. The program offered a wonderful opportunity for him to express his creativity while socializing with other children. I would definitely recommend it, especially for parents looking to introduce their little ones to music in a fun and supportive environment.
