ABC Academy of Music — Music

We recently attended the weekly music program at ABC Academy of Music in Toronto with my 6-year-old daughter. She loves music but can be quite shy, so I was a bit apprehensive about how she would fit in. However, the instructor, Sarah, was incredibly engaging and made the class feel welcoming. My daughter was excited to learn about rhythm and even got to build her own small percussion instrument, which she proudly brought home. The small group size allowed for more personal attention, which I appreciated. One annoyance was the long lines during pickup—perhaps they could streamline that a bit. Despite that, I found the environment to be nurturing, and my daughter made a couple of friends during the session. Overall, I would recommend this program, especially for young kids who are just starting their musical journey.

My son, Jake, just finished his first month at the ABC Academy of Music in Toronto, and overall, it has been a solid experience. He is in the age 5-7 group, where they focus on basic rhythm and sound play. The instructor, Ms. Lily, really engages the kids with fun activities that help them learn through play. Jake particularly loved building his own simple percussion instrument out of recycled materials during one class, and he’s been proudly showing it off at home. One small annoyance was the long line during pickup; it took a bit longer than expected to get to him, which can be tricky with my schedule. However, the small group size allows for more personal attention, which I appreciate. I would recommend this program for its positive atmosphere and the way it fosters creativity in young kids.
