My 6-year-old attended the Toronto Kids Karate program and had a great time. The instructor, Tom, was really engaging and kept the kids focused during the class. They practiced basic kicks and learned a simple kata, which my child proudly demonstrated at home. I loved that the class was small, allowing for more personal attention. One minor annoyance was the long line for pickup; it seemed to take forever on a couple of evenings. However, I appreciated the family class format that encouraged bonding as I participated too. Overall, this program is a solid choice for active kids, especially if you want to join in and learn alongside them.

We enrolled our 6-year-old at Toronto Kids Karate, and overall, it has been a solid experience. The weekly classes have provided a structured environment where my child learns traditional Shotokan karate skills like Kata and Kumite. The instructor, Sam, is very engaging and does a great job of keeping the kids focused while making it fun. My child particularly loved practicing their kicks and even made a friend during the sessions. One small annoyance is the long lines during pickup; it can get a bit chaotic, especially with younger kids trying to find their parents. However, the staff is friendly and helpful, which eases some of that stress. I appreciate the inclusive environment that encourages kids of all abilities to participate and learn. I think it’s a great program for energetic kids looking to learn martial arts while having fun!
