My son recently started attending the Shaolin Temple Quanfa Institute in Toronto, and overall, it’s been a solid experience. Every Saturday at 10 AM, he practices Shaolin Kung Fu alongside other kids his age. The instructor, Ms. Lila, is very engaging and makes sure every child feels included, which I appreciate. My son has built confidence and even made a friend in his class. The only downside has been the long lines during pickup, which can get a bit hectic. It would be nice if they could streamline that process a bit. Overall, I think this program is great for active kids, and I would recommend it to parents looking for a fun martial arts experience for their little ones.

We recently enrolled our 6-year-old in the weekly martial arts class at the Shaolin Temple Quanfa Institute in Toronto. My child, who is quite active, has loved the classes so far. They’ve recently learned some basic moves in Shaolin Kung Fu and even got to participate in a group meditation session, which was a unique experience for them. I appreciate the engaged staff; the instructor, Leo, really takes the time to connect with each child, making them feel included. One downside: the lines at pickup can be long, especially after class, which can get a bit chaotic as parents gather to collect their kids. Overall, I think this program is a great fit for children who enjoy physical activity and want to learn something new in a supportive environment.
