Ignite TKD Inc Downtown — Martial Arts

We enrolled our 6-year-old at Ignite TKD Inc in downtown Toronto, and overall, it was a positive experience. The instructor, Mr. Sam, was very engaging and made sure each child felt included and confident. Our son was able to learn some basic Taekwondo techniques and even managed to execute a simple kick during his first class, which was a big deal for him. The small group size allowed for more personalized attention, which we appreciated. However, the class can get a bit crowded at times, especially when parents are picking up their kids after class. It was a bit chaotic trying to navigate through the crowd. We also noticed that some kids, including ours, were a little shy and hesitant to participate initially, but Mr. Sam worked hard to encourage them. Despite the crowded pickup situation, I would recommend this program for families looking for a supportive environment where kids can build confidence and make friends. We plan on continuing our journey here!

They worked on basic Taekwondo moves and even got to create a mini-challenge to test their skills—a nice touch that kept them motivated. One downside was the long lines for pickup; it felt a bit chaotic at times, and I would have appreciated more organization there. Despite this, the lessons taught were invaluable, focusing on self-discipline and confidence. The price is fairly reasonable for the value offered. I would recommend it for other parents looking for a good martial arts program, especially for active children.
