Mandarin Restaurant — Languages

We attended the Mandarin Restaurant — Languages program last Saturday with my 6-year-old. The atmosphere was lively and vibrant, with plenty of children engaged in language activities. My child particularly enjoyed learning some basic Mandarin phrases while creating fun flashcards, which they proudly brought home. The staff, led by a friendly instructor named Mei, were enthusiastic and attentive, making sure everyone felt included. The pickup process was smooth, which I appreciated, but the restaurant was a bit crowded during our visit, making it hard to find a spot to sit comfortably. My little one was excited to make new friends and learned a few words that they can't stop practicing at home. Overall, it was a solid experience, and we plan to return. Just be prepared for the crowd, especially on weekends!

We recently took our 6-year-old to the Mandarin Restaurant’s language program in Toronto, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The combination of language lessons and a buffet was an interesting approach. My child particularly enjoyed learning Mandarin while trying different dishes, including sushi! The instructor, Mei, was very engaging and made the language come to life. It was also great to see my child making a friend during the session, which added to the enjoyment. However, we faced long lines at the buffet, making it a bit chaotic during lunchtime. It might be helpful if they organized a better system for serving food. Still, if you can manage the slight waits, the program is quite good. I would recommend it for parents looking for a fun way for their kids to learn a new language while enjoying some tasty food.
