Chava Farms — Horseback Riding

My daughter has been attending Chava Farms for horseback riding lessons in Toronto for a few weeks now, and I would say overall, it's a solid experience. The instructor, Claire, is friendly and really engages with the kids, which I appreciate. My daughter has learned how to groom and ride her horse, and she even made a friend in the process, which was a nice bonus. However, the program does have its flaws; the check-in process can get a bit chaotic, and we often find ourselves waiting in long lines at the start. Hopefully, they can streamline this part in the future. Despite the minor inconveniences, the outdoor environment and the activities have kept my daughter excited and active, so I do recommend it with a few caveats. Just plan to arrive early to navigate the lines.

My son loved the opportunity to ride the horses and even learned some basic riding techniques. The small group size made it feel personal and allowed for plenty of interaction. That said, we did encounter some long lines during pickup, which was a bit of a hassle after a long day. It would be great if the farm could streamline that process a bit. Despite that minor annoyance, I appreciate the emphasis on outdoor time and the friendly atmosphere. If your child is active and enjoys animals, I would recommend giving this program a try, just be prepared for some wait time when picking up.
