World Class Hockey Development — Hockey

I enrolled my 9-year-old son in the World Class Hockey Development program in Toronto, and overall, we had a solid experience. The full-day session kept him engaged with various drills focused on skill-building, which he enjoyed. Coach Mike was particularly good at connecting with the kids and providing constructive feedback. My son mentioned he loved learning to do crossovers and even made a new friend during the small group activities. However, there were some long lines during pickup, which made it a bit chaotic at times; I wished there was a more organized system in place. The cost is on the higher side, but considering the quality of instruction, I felt it was worth it. If your child is active and looking to improve their hockey skills, I would recommend this program, but be prepared for a bit of a wait at the end of the day.

The instructors, especially a coach named Mike, were very engaged and provided personalized feedback that really helped him improve his skating skills. He loved the different drills they did, particularly the small-sided games which kept him on his toes and allowed for more puck time. The group size felt manageable, which was a big plus. However, I did notice long lines during drop-off and pick-up, which made the experience a bit stressful for parents. It would be great if they could streamline that process a bit. That said, my son made a new friend and came home excited to practice what he learned. I would recommend this program, just keep an eye on the timing when dropping off.
