Central Toronto Skating Club — Hockey

My son has been attending the Central Toronto Skating Club's hockey program for the past month, and overall, we’ve had a solid experience. The staff, particularly Coach Matt, has been really engaging with the kids, which keeps my son excited about coming each week. He’s been learning the basics and loves the fun drills they set up. The pickup process at Moss Park Arena can get a bit hectic, and we often face long lines, especially on Saturdays. But it’s manageable, and the overall atmosphere is friendly and encouraging. My son, who is quite active and loves sports, has not only improved his skating but has also made a couple of friends along the way. If you’re considering this program, just be prepared for the occasional wait, but it’s definitely worth it for the enthusiasm and support they provide in fostering a love for hockey.

My son, who is 6 and full of energy, recently joined the Central Toronto Skating Club's hockey program at Moss Park Arena. The instructors, particularly Coach Sarah, are incredibly engaged and truly foster a love for the sport. My son loved learning how to handle the puck and even scored his first goal during practice! The program is well-structured, with a great pickup system that made our transition from practice to home smooth. However, it can get quite crowded, especially during the weekend sessions, which sometimes makes it hard for the kids to focus. Nonetheless, the inclusive environment kept my son happy and motivated to return each week. Overall, it's been a solid experience, and I would recommend it to other parents looking for a fun way to get their kids active.
