We recently enrolled our 6-year-old in the Joy of Dance Centre's hip hop class in Toronto. The instructor, Maya, was incredibly engaging and made sure to include every child, which helped my shy daughter feel comfortable. The class size was small, allowing for personalized attention, and my daughter quickly picked up some fun dance moves. What impressed me was the focus on creativity; Maya encouraged the kids to express themselves through their dancing. However, I did notice the pickup process got a bit chaotic towards the end of the class with parents arriving early, which could be a hassle. Overall, we’re happy with our experience and feel it’s a great fit for our daughter’s interests. We're looking forward to seeing her grow in dance over the coming weeks.

My daughter has been attending the Joy of Dance Centre in Toronto for a couple of months now, and I’m pleased with her progress. The small class size really allows the instructor, Maja, to engage with each student. My daughter, who is quite outgoing, has learned ballet basics and even got to perform a short routine at the end of the session. She tells me about her new friends and dances excitedly at home. However, I did notice that pickups can get a bit chaotic, especially with long lines forming at the front. It can take longer than expected to get her after class. Overall, I recommend the center for its supportive environment and quality instruction, but be prepared for a little wait at pickup time.
