creative

My son attended the ThriveKids Academy Coding program in Toronto, and overall, it was a solid experience. The instructor, Jamie, was enthusiastic and kept the kids engaged. Each week, they worked on different projects, and my son particularly enjoyed building a simple game using Scratch. The small group size allowed for personalized attention, which was a big plus. However, I did notice that some activities involved quite a bit of screen time, which I'm not fully comfortable with. Nonetheless, my son came home excited and inspired each week, which is what I hoped for. The pickup process was smooth, which I appreciated since it can often be chaotic. I would definitely recommend this program, especially for creative kids who are interested in technology.

focused

My son recently participated in the Coding program at ThriveKids Academy in Toronto, and overall, we had a good experience. The classes are held every Saturday, which fit nicely into our schedule. The instructor, a friendly guy named Tom, did a great job of keeping the kids engaged while teaching them the basics of coding. My son particularly enjoyed building a simple game, which he was really proud of. One small annoyance was that there seemed to be a bit too much screen time – I would have liked to see some hands-on activities mixed in. However, the small group size meant that each child received individual attention, which I appreciated. If your child is focused and enjoys technology, I think they would benefit from this program.
