My son, who is 9, just completed his first month at Robolab in Toronto, and overall, it’s been a solid experience. The instructors, especially Maya, clearly care about the kids and are great at explaining coding concepts in a fun way. My son built a simple robot that he programmed to navigate a small obstacle course, which he found both challenging and exciting. However, the pickup process was a bit chaotic some days, with long lines forming as parents waited. I think they could improve on that aspect. That said, the small class size allows for more personalized attention, and my son has already made a few friends. I appreciate how they encourage creativity in problem-solving without overwhelming the kids. I would recommend Robolab for parents looking for engaging activities for their children, just keep an eye on the pickup logistics.

shy

We enrolled our 8-year-old in the Robolab coding program in North York, Toronto, and overall, it was a solid experience. Each week, my child looked forward to building robots and learning basic coding principles. The small class sizes really helped my shy child feel more comfortable and engaged, and the instructor, Sam, was very patient and encouraging. However, the pickup process could be improved; we faced long lines every time, which was a bit frustrating after a long day. Despite that, my child came home excited about the projects they were working on and even made a new friend. The program does a great job of balancing fun and learning, making it a good option for kids who may not have previous coding knowledge. I would recommend Robolab, but just plan for possible wait times during pickup.
