We took our 6-year-old to True North Climbing in Toronto last Saturday, and overall, it was a solid experience. The staff, especially our instructor Jamie, were very engaged and attentive, which made our child feel comfortable. They had the chance to try bouldering and top rope climbing, which was great for building confidence. The small group size allowed for personalized attention, which I appreciated. However, we did encounter long lines for the auto belay section, which was a bit frustrating and ate into our climbing time. It was also a bit chaotic during pickup, with a lot of parents and kids milling about. But despite these minor issues, our child had a blast and made a new friend while climbing. I would recommend this program for active kids looking to try climbing, just be prepared for a bit of waiting.

We took our 6-year-old son to True North Climbing in Toronto, and overall, it was a solid experience. The climbing facility was spacious and well-organized, with various options that kept him engaged. He started with some bouldering and then moved onto the auto belay, which he really enjoyed. The instructors, especially a friendly guy named Jake, provided clear guidance and encouragement, which helped him build confidence. The adult-to-child ratio was great, ensuring he received plenty of attention. However, we did encounter some long lines during peak hours, which made the waiting time a bit frustrating. I think they could work on managing this better or extending the available time slots. Still, it's a good fit for active kids, and my son made a new friend while climbing. I’d recommend it, but I'd suggest going during off-peak hours if you can.
