We recently attended the climbing program at Hub Climbing Markham with my 9-year-old son. He was thrilled to tackle the 23-foot bouldering wall, which offered plenty of challenges that were just the right level of difficulty. Our instructor, Mia, was incredibly engaging and made sure to provide individual attention to each child, which I appreciated. The small group size allowed my son to gain confidence as he climbed. One issue we faced was the long lines for the autobelay stations, which made it a bit frustrating at times, especially with kids waiting eagerly to climb. Nonetheless, the overall experience was positive, and my son made a few friends during the session. We will definitely return, but I recommend arriving early to beat the crowds.

My 9-year-old daughter attended the climbing program at Hub Climbing Markham in Toronto, and overall, it was a solid experience. The staff, including our instructor Jake, were clearly passionate about climbing and very engaged with the kids. They kept the group size manageable, so each child received good attention. My daughter especially enjoyed the bouldering challenges, which allowed her to feel accomplished without too much pressure. One downside was that we faced long lines for the autobelay routes during peak hours, which led to her feeling a bit restless. However, the facility itself is spacious and well-designed for climbers of all skill levels. I appreciate that they cater to kids who are active and love physical challenges. I would recommend this program with the caveat to arrive early to avoid the crowds.
