I recently took my 9-year-old to Ethos Climbing in Toronto for their weekly bouldering session. While the gym was a bit crowded when we arrived, the staff were very engaged and helpful. Our instructor, Mike, provided clear guidance, which really boosted my child's confidence. My son was thrilled about building his climbing skills and managed to complete a challenging wall that he had been eyeing. It was a fantastic way for him to be active and socialize with other kids his age. One small annoyance was the wait time for some of the popular climbing routes; I could see it frustrate a few kids. Nonetheless, the small group size allowed for a more personal experience. Overall, I would recommend Ethos for its supportive environment and skilled staff. Just be prepared for a busy atmosphere on weekends.

We recently attended the Ethos Climbing program in Toronto with my 9-year-old, and overall, it was a solid experience. The staff, especially our instructor named Jake, was very engaged and offered personalized tips that helped my child feel more confident while climbing. The small group size meant that my child received ample attention and encouragement, which really boosted their enthusiasm. They built some great climbing skills on the bouldering walls, and I noticed they were excited to share their progress with me afterward. One small annoyance was the slightly chaotic pickup situation, as there seemed to be a lot of parents arriving at once, making it tough to find my child. While the environment was inclusive, I could see how it might feel overwhelming for shyer kids. Still, if your child is active and loves trying new challenges, I would recommend this program. The price is reasonable for the experience, and we plan to return next week!
