If you're looking for a basketball program for your kids, the Toronto Lords Basketball Association has options for all ages, starting as young as four. They really focus on both basketball skills and education, which I think is such a valuable approach for our kids.

My son joined the Junior NBA Mini-Baller Program at the Toronto Lords Basketball Association this season, and he's been enjoying it quite a bit. The schedule works well for us, with practices on Wednesday evenings and games on Saturdays. Coach Mark is really engaging and has a knack for keeping the kids excited about learning the game while emphasizing teamwork. My son has developed better ball handling and even made a few new friends, which is a nice bonus. One downside was the long lines during pickup on Wednesdays; it got a bit chaotic as parents tried to grab their kids, but it was manageable. Overall, the program feels well-organized, and I appreciate that part of the fees goes toward post-secondary education savings. It's a solid choice for kids who are active and want to explore basketball in a supportive environment.

We enrolled our 9-year-old in the Junior NBA Mini-Baller Program at the Toronto Lords Basketball Association this fall. The sessions are weekly, which fits well into our schedule. I appreciate how engaged the staff, particularly Coach Mike, are with all the kids. They made sure every child got individual attention during drills and games. My daughter really enjoyed learning how to dribble while working alongside a small group. It was also great to see her make a friend by the end of the session. However, the gym tends to get crowded, especially during pickup times, which can be a bit hectic. Overall, we’ve had a positive experience and I think this program has been a great fit for her active personality. I would recommend it to other parents, keeping in mind the parking situation.
