My daughter attended the Gathering Wild visual arts program in Toronto, and overall, it was a solid experience. The small group size allowed for personalized attention, and the instructor, Mia, was fantastic at engaging the kids. They worked on a mixed-media project where each child designed their own unique creature out of recycled materials, which was both fun and educational. My daughter particularly enjoyed the creative freedom she had in her art. However, I did notice the pickup line can get a bit long, especially on the days when there seemed to be more kids than usual. That said, I would recommend this program for its creative projects and supportive environment. It’s a wonderful way for kids to express themselves artistically. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait at the end of the session.

My son, who is 6 and quite shy, has been attending the Gathering Wild visual arts program in Toronto for about a month now. The classes are small, which really benefits kids who might need a bit more attention, like him. The instructor, Lisa, has been fantastic in engaging the kids and providing a supportive space for them to create. My son made a beautiful clay sculpture last week, which he was so proud of. However, I did notice that pick-up can be a bit chaotic, with parents lined up and waiting a long time. Since he’s a shy child, he sometimes gets overwhelmed by the noise, but he seems to really enjoy the creative projects and has even made a friend in the class. Overall, I think it’s a solid program for encouraging creativity, though I’d suggest arriving early to avoid the pick-up rush.
