Centauri Arts Academy — Visual Arts

My 12-year-old son has been attending the Visual Arts classes at Centauri Arts Academy in Toronto for the past month. He's explored painting and digital art, which has really sparked his creativity. The instructor, Mia, is engaging and seems to have a knack for connecting with the kids, which helps foster a positive atmosphere. The small group size allows for personalized attention, something I really appreciate. However, pick-up can be a bit chaotic; we often find ourselves standing in long lines, which can be frustrating after a long day. Despite this, my son has made a friend in the class, which is great to see. Overall, I would recommend this program for kids who love to create, but be prepared for a bit of waiting during pick-up.

The small group size allows for plenty of personal attention from the instructors, like Sarah, who is incredibly engaging and supportive. Each week, they explore different mediums, and last class, my daughter created an impressive acrylic painting that she couldn't wait to show off at home. One slight annoyance was the long lines during pickup, which could be better organized. It can be a bit hectic at times, but once we got through, it was worth it to see her excitement. Although the cost is on the higher end for our budget, I do think the experience is valuable for her creative development. Overall, I’d recommend this program for kids who are enthusiastic about art and want to explore their creativity in a positive environment.
