My 12-year-old daughter recently joined the Innerwest Youth Theatre program at Epiphany Arts Inc. in Sydney, and overall, it's been a solid experience. The weekly sessions have allowed her to explore her creativity and develop her acting skills in a small group setting, which she finds less intimidating. The instructor, Jamie, has been particularly engaging and creates a supportive atmosphere that encourages participation. My daughter was thrilled to work on a short skit where she played a quirky character, which really boosted her confidence. One minor annoyance was the drop-off situation at the venue – it can get a bit chaotic during peak hours, which made me nervous the first few times. However, once we settled into a routine, it became easier. I’d recommend this program to parents of kids who might be shy but interested in performing arts; it’s a great way for them to make new friends and express themselves creatively.
