Camp Blue Manly — Science

I recently enrolled my 9-year-old son in Camp Blue Manly's Science program in Sydney, and overall, it was a rewarding experience. The camp emphasized hands-on activities, and my son particularly enjoyed building a simple robot and conducting fun experiments with fellow campers. The staff, especially an instructor named Sarah, were engaged and attentive, which made a noticeable difference in how the kids interacted with the activities. Pickup was well-organized, and I appreciated that they kept us informed about the day's schedule. However, there was a bit of a wait during check-in, which could be improved. My son, who is quite active and loves to explore, came home excited and asking for more science projects. I’d recommend the camp with the note that arriving early might help dodge those long lines at the start.

He came home every day excited to tell us about the volcano model he built and the experiments they conducted with slime. The staff, especially our main instructor, Kate, were very engaged and really seemed to foster a love for science among the kids. The snacks provided were also quite good, and my son enjoyed the variety offered. One small annoyance was the long lines during pickup, which could be a bit frustrating, especially after a long day. However, I appreciated the organized approach they had for drop-off and pickup overall. We had a great time, and I believe my son really benefited from the hands-on activities and collaborative projects. I would recommend this camp with the caveat to arrive a little earlier for pickup to avoid the lines.
