Camp Blue Stanmore — Nature & Outdoors

I enrolled my 8-year-old at Camp Blue Stanmore in Sydney for their Nature & Outdoors program, and overall it was a solid experience. The instructors, like Sarah, were genuinely engaged with the kids and encouraged them to explore the beautiful surroundings. My child came home excited about the birdhouse they built and the new friends they made. However, there was a bit of a hassle during pickup with long lines, which made it a little stressful at the end of the day. The small group size was a plus, as it allowed for more personalized attention and fostered a friendly atmosphere. While I recommend this camp for kids who love being active and outdoors, be prepared for some wait times during pickup. It was a worthwhile experience, and I may consider sending my child back next year.

The staff, especially our instructor Jamie, were incredibly engaged and made sure each child had the opportunity to explore and learn about the environment. My son particularly enjoyed building a birdhouse with his group, which they got to decorate with natural materials. The small group size allowed for more personalized attention, which I appreciated. The only downside was the long line during pickup; I wish they had a better system in place to manage that. Nonetheless, my son came home tired but happy, having made new friends and learned a lot about local wildlife. I would recommend this camp for active kids who enjoy being outdoors, just be prepared for a bit of a wait at the end of the day.
