We enrolled our 4-year-old at L'Academy Language Immersion in Lower Nob Hill last month, and overall, it's been a solid experience. The staff, particularly Ms. Elena, is genuinely engaged with the kids, which has helped our son, who is quite shy, feel more comfortable. He loves participating in their interactive language games, and last week he built a model of a house using blocks while learning the names of various colors in Spanish. On the flip side, pick-up can be a bit chaotic, especially during peak hours when there seem to be long lines. It’s a minor annoyance, but it’s manageable. Our son also mentioned that some days there are too many kids during activities, making it tougher for him to engage fully. Despite the few hiccups, I appreciate how they encourage creativity and social interaction, and I’d recommend it to other parents looking for a language-focused preschool program, just be prepared for the occasional wait at pickup.
