Bridgetown Conservatory of Musical Theatre — Theatre

My 12-year-old daughter has been attending the Bridgetown Conservatory of Musical Theatre in Portland for a few months now. She absolutely loves the program and has made a few new friends, which I think speaks volumes about the environment they create. The instructor, Jamie, is incredibly engaging and encourages the kids to express themselves creatively. Each week, they work on a different musical piece, and my daughter has been able to showcase her singing skills, which has been a huge confidence booster for her. One small annoyance is that there are some extra costs for materials and performances that can add up. I wish they had better communication about these additional expenses upfront. However, it’s been a positive experience overall, and I recommend it for other parents looking for an enriching activity for their outgoing kids.

They helped my daughter and her peers work on their singing and acting skills while preparing for a small performance, which was a great experience for them. The small group size allowed for personalized attention, which I appreciated. However, I found the pickup process a bit chaotic at times, especially on performance days when it got quite crowded. It would be nice if they could streamline that a bit. Still, my daughter came home each week excited and inspired, which is the most important part for us. If you're looking for a program that fosters creativity and confidence, I would definitely recommend it, just be prepared for some hustle during pickup.
