Oregon Youth Soccer Association — Soccer

I enrolled my 9-year-old son in the Oregon Youth Soccer Association program in Portland, and overall, it has been a solid experience. The coaches, like Coach Mia, are truly engaged and foster a welcoming environment. My son has improved his skills significantly and has really enjoyed the outdoor time with his teammates. However, I did notice that the drop-off process can be a bit chaotic, especially at the start of each session with parents and kids mingling everywhere. We also had to wait in long lines for check-in on the first day, which was a bit frustrating. Despite these minor annoyances, my son has made a few friends and looks forward to soccer practice each week. I would recommend this program to other parents, especially those with active children who enjoy working in teams.

My son, who is quite active, has really enjoyed the mix of drills and games. I appreciate how the program fosters both sport and friendship. I would recommend it, especially for kids who enjoy being outdoors and active.
