Pequeños Exploradores Spanish Immersion Daycare LLC — Languages

I recently enrolled my 4-year-old at Pequeños Exploradores in Portland, and overall, we had a solid experience. The staff, particularly a teacher named Marisol, was incredibly engaged and seemed to genuinely care about the children's learning. My son loved the small group size, which allowed for more one-on-one interactions and encouragement. He built a mini Spanish vocabulary while learning about animals during their nature-themed activities. However, the drop-off process was a bit chaotic on the first day, which made me feel a little uneasy. Also, I noticed long lines during pickup, especially on Fridays, which was slightly frustrating. My child is typically shy, so it was nice to see that the environment was inclusive, making it easier for him to connect with his peers. While there are a few logistical things to improve, I think this program is a great way to introduce a second language at a young age.

My daughter, Sofia, has been attending Pequeños Exploradores in Portland for the past few months, and overall, we've had a positive experience. The staff, particularly Maria, have been fantastic. They've created a warm and welcoming environment that makes it easier for the kids to engage with the Spanish language. Sofia has enjoyed the daily activities, especially the storytelling sessions where they act out scenes in Spanish; she even built a little puppet to use during these stories. The immersion approach seems to be helping her pick up the language. However, I did find the pickup process a bit chaotic on some days, with long lines that made it tricky to get out on time. Sofia is on the shy side, but the small group size has really encouraged her to come out of her shell and make friends. I would recommend this program for parents interested in early language development, but be prepared for some busy times during pickup.
