Hola Kidz! The Spanish Lab — Languages

We enrolled our 6-year-old in Hola Kidz! The Spanish Lab in Portland, and overall, it's been a positive experience. The instructor, Clara, was wonderful and really engaged the kids with fun activities. My child loved the interactive games that helped them practice vocabulary. They even built a colorful poster of their favorite animals in Spanish, which was a hit at home. The small group size made it easier for the kids to participate, and I appreciated the consistent communication from the staff about what they were learning each week. One downside was the extra costs associated with materials—they could have been more transparent about that upfront. However, if you're looking for a language program that keeps kids engaged and excited about learning, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try!

My child particularly enjoyed the creative project where they made a colorful poster about animals in Spanish. It was a joy to see them so excited about learning a new language! However, we did experience some long lines during drop-off, which can be a bit chaotic, especially for a shy kid. It took a little while to get in, but once settled, my child loved being part of a small group with personalized attention. I appreciate that Sofia focused on interactive learning rather than screen time. We’ll definitely continue, but I hope they can streamline the pickup process in the future.
