Musicals for Children — Theatre

My daughter recently participated in the Musicals for Children program in London, and overall, we had a solid experience. She is 9 years old and a bit shy, so I was concerned about her comfort level. However, the instructor, Sarah, was fantastic at encouraging the kids to express themselves and really got them involved in the performance activities. My daughter built a small set piece and got to learn a song, which she was excited to share with us at home. One minor annoyance was the long lines during drop-off; it seemed a bit chaotic on the first day. Despite that, she made a friend, and they are already planning to practice their lines together. I appreciate the focus on creativity and the supportive environment, which I think is really beneficial for kids. We will definitely continue attending and I recommend it with the caveat to arrive early.

They worked on creating their own mini-musical, and my daughter was thrilled to design a character and write a few lines. She made a couple of friends, which was a nice bonus. However, I did notice there were some long lines during pickup, which made it a bit chaotic as parents scrambled to get their kids. I also wish they provided clearer communication about what to expect each week. Still, I would definitely recommend it for kids who are outgoing and creative. The excitement on my daughter's face when she shared her character made it all worthwhile!
